2 flu deaths reported in North Carolina

As health officials gear up for the 2018-19 flu season, North Carolina already has reported two flu-related deaths, WTVD reports.

The medical director in Buncombe County, N.C., said an elderly person died from the flu the week of Sept. 30. A second North Carolina resident died from flu complications in September.

The CDC recommends all persons 6 months and older receive a seasonal flu vaccine by the end of October.
