15 Ohio hospitals with the cleanest rooms, as reported by patients

The following is a list of hospitals in Ohio for which 85 percent or more of patients reported that their room and bathroom were "always" clean on their HCAHPS surveys.

Data were pulled from CMS' Hospital Compare and is from January 2014 through December 2014, the most recent data available.

For reference, Ohio's average rate for patients reporting their room and bathroom were "always" clean is 75 percent. The national average rate for patients reporting their room and bathroom were "always" clean is 74 percent.

Note: Hospitals with insufficient data, such as having fewer than 100 completed surveys, were excluded.

1. Mercy Willard (Ohio) Hospital — 90 percent

2. Pomerene Hospital (Millersburg) — 88 percent

3. Community Memorial Hospital (Hicksville) — 87 percent

4. University Hospitals Conneaut (Ohio) Medical Center — 87 percent

5. Grand Lake Health System (St. Marys) — 86 percent

6. Bellevue (Ohio) Hospital — 86 percent

7. Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center (Cambridge) — 86 percent

8. HB Magruder Memorial Hospital (Port Clinton) — 86 percent

9. Bluffton (Ohio) Hospital — 86 percent

10. Fulton County Health Center (Wauseon) — 86 percent

11. Mercer County Joint Township Community Hospital (Coldwater) — 85 percent

12. Madison County Hospital (London) — 85 percent

13. Mercy Hospital of Defiance (Ohio) — 85 percent

14. Surgical Hospital at Southwoods (Youngstown) — 85 percent
