Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital and Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Rehabilitation plan to develop a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Spring Hill, Fla.

The freestanding facility will be developed near the TGH Spring Hill campus, pending regulatory approvals, according to a Nov. 5 Tampa General news release. It is slated to open in the second half of 2028.

The hospital will provide inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, trauma, amputations and other complex medical conditions.

The project marks the second inpatient rehabilitation hospital partnership between Tampa General and Lifepoint Rehabilitation in the greater Tampa market.

Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, has more than 55 freestanding inpatient rehabilitation facilities and provides services across more than 250 hospital-based rehabilitation units, medical/surgical and outpatient therapy settings.
