The micro-grocery store is stocked with fresh local produce and open to the public seven days a week. It functions as a outpost for healthy food in an area deemed a food desert by a recent study from W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research, according to the report.
The grocery store will promote health in Bronson Methodist’s surrounding communities and provide employees a place for quick healthy snacks. Bronson Methodist began the micro-grocery store project last June.
