Boston Children’s Hospital produces a thrice-monthly, live, multi-camera cooking demonstration to promote healthy eating for its patients and their families.

As part of the show, Boston Children’s executive chef and other guest celebrity chefs teach patients how to prepare healthy meals at the hospital food court’s made-to-order cooking station. The show focuses on healthy eating habits and nutrition, according to Summer Menegakis, Boston Children’s retail marketing operations manager.

“When they go home, patients are excited about cooking and they’re excited about eating healthy,” said Ms. Menegakis. “And they’re inspired to have their parents make these kinds of meals at home.”

The four-camera video production system was installed as part of a renovation of the hospital’s food court, which was completed in July.
