Walmart opens mobile pharmacy to help hurricane victims

Walmart has opened a full-service mobile pharmacy to serve patients affected by Hurricane Michael, according to a WTXL news report.

The mobile pharmacy is in Mariana, Fla., an area hit hard by the storm. It will provide prescriptions, immunizations and general resources for area residents.

The pharmacy-on-wheels will operate from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily until the pharmacy inside the Marianna Walmart Supercenter is ready for the community.

The pharmacy spans 53 feet and can handle up to 3,000 prescriptions per week. It a has a waiting area and health services room for immunizations.
