Schnucks grocery chain opens 9th specialty pharmacy

Schnucks Markets Inc., a grocery chain based in St. Louis, opened its ninth specialty pharmacy in Moline, Ill., April 29, according to Winsight Grocery Business.

The pharmacy will offer patients access to medications for complex diseases, including cancer, multiple sclerosis, hepatitis C and rare genetic conditions.

The pharmacy will be built in partnership with the Project of the Quad Cities, a social services institution offering STI testing and support services.

Schnucks also operates 107 retail pharmacies in the Midwest.
