West Reading, Pa.-based Reading Hospital, part of Tower Health, has opened the region’s first 24-hour pharmacy, providing around-the-clock access to prescription medications, pharmacist support, curbside pickup and essential health products, according to a July 15 Reading Eagle report.
The pharmacy is open to the public, not just Reading Hospital patients, and offers prescription medications, over-the-counter products and basic first aid supplies.
Tower Health said the extended hours are intended to help patients begin treatment sooner, reduce delays in care and provide access to medications when other pharmacies are closed, according to the report.
