“Providers can now stop faxing and phoning in requests and get nearly immediate responses through this new electronic portal,” a June 3 news release said.
The GuidingCare Authorization Portal allows providers to quickly route more complex requests to appropriate medical personnel while eliminating lengthy roadblocks to reviews for inpatient stays, according to the statement.
Priority Health, which has one million members, partnered with Reston, Va.-based tech company Altruista Health to develop the tool.
