Kaiser Permanente taps former Sharecare exec as Georgia market president

Pamela Shipley was named Kaiser Permanente's regional president of Georgia, the payer announced Jan. 6. 

In her new role, Ms. Shipley will manage the coverage of Kaiser Permanente's 317,000 members in the state. She will start on Jan. 18.

Before joining Kaiser Permanente, Ms. Shipley was COO of Atlanta-based virtual health solutions company Sharecare. She also served Centene for 12 years, leading 15 of the payer's markets. 

"Pam is an accomplished health care leader with proven expertise implementing strategic plans that drive growth, foster innovation, and deliver positive business results," said Kim Horn, executive vice president and group president for Kaiser Permanente markets outside California. "She has a strong 25-year track record of diverse experiences that uniquely positions her to lead the Georgia market and contribute broadly to Kaiser Permanente's successful future."
