The payer’s Total Joint Replacement Episode-Based Model aims to reduce readmissions and cost while improving care quality. The eight orthopedic groups in Kentucky and Indiana will join 12 orthopedic groups in Ohio and Tennessee that entered the model in 2016.
The following specialty groups will be included in the model.
- Commonwealth Orthopaedic Centers in Kentucky
- Fort Wayne (Ind.) Orthopedics
- Kentucky Bone and Joint Surgeons in Lexington
- Norton Orthopedic Specialists in Louisville, Ky.
- Ortho NorthEast in Fort Wayne, Ind.
- Orthopaedic Associates in Indiana
- Tri-State Orthopaedics in Evansville, Ind.
- Unity Healthcare in Lafayette, Ind.
