Atlanta-based Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia filed preliminary plans to offer ACA individual health plans in all of Georgia's 159 counties for 2018, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
BCBSG is currently the only payer in Georgia to offer plans on the ACA exchange statewide. Should the payer decide to exit the 2018 exchange, more than 90 Georgia counties would have no insurer offering ACA health plans.
The initial filing is subject change, as insurers and state officials continue negotiations during the next serval months, according to the report.
