Cigna Medicare Advantage branch president to retire

Herb Fritch, president and founder of Cigna-HealthSpring — the Medicare Advantage arm of payer Cigna — will retire effective Nov. 11.

Current Cigna-HealthSpring COO Shawn Morris will serve as interim president while a national search is initiated.  

“We are grateful for Herb’s vision and dedication in creating Cigna-HealthSpring, which is privileged to provide high quality healthcare coverage to more than two million Medicare beneficiaries today,” a Cigna spokesperson said in an emailed statement to Becker’s Hospital Review.
