The new company is set to open in the first half of 2022, according to Business Korea.

Cigna’s further expansion into South Korea makes it the first foreign company to have a digital non-life insurance presence in the country. Other competitors are largely part of Korean business conglomerates, such as Hana or Hanwha.

Lina Korea first entered the Korean market in 1987, marking Cigna’s first venture there.
