Aetna links up with Baptist Health, St. Vincent’s HealthCare for value-based plan

Health insurer Aetna teamed up with Jacksonville, Fla.-based providers Baptist Health and St. Vincent’s HealthCare for a value-based benefit plan aimed at improving quality and cutting costs.

The commercial plan, called Aetna Whole Health, will be available for employers with 51 or more employees in three Florida counties — Clay, Duval and St. Johns. The plan will focus on disease prevention and wellness. 

Under the plan, the Hartford, Conn.-based insurer will be in network with Baptist Health and St. Vincent’s HealthCare physicians, hospitals and outpatient facilities.
