NEMT provider Veyo publishes year-end results

San Diego-based Veyo, a non-emergency medical transportation provider, released its year-end performance metrics.

Founded just 11 months ago, the company provides transportation services for Medicaid members across the nation and has offices in Arizona, Colorado, Texas and Idaho.

Here are six of the startup's year-end metrics.

  • Veyo has served 2.5 million members in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Texas and Michigan.
  • The company has completed 2.7 million trips thus far, and expects to complete 3 million trips by its one-year anniversary on Nov. 9.
  • Through Veyo's technology, a rider issues a trip request and is subsequently matched with a driver in roughly 28 seconds.
  • For Veyo users, the average time from dispatch to arrival is 10 minutes.
  • Veyo's on-time rate is 97.9 percent.
  • As of September 2016, Veyo has created almost 2,000 jobs in Arizona and Idaho.

"Missed appointments often result in poorer health outcomes and worsened conditions, increasing  healthcare costs over time," said Veyo President Josh Komenda. "By using both mobile- and cloud-based technologies and predictive analytics to understand supply and demand in real-time, as well as adjust dispatch schedules and lead times, we're creating a proactive, next-gen model to healthcare logistics."
