The companies said that through their collaboration, thousands of people will gain better access to health and social care services. Service providers and coordinators who use Unite Us to make electronic social care referrals can now call a Lyft ride for patients to that appointment.
The partnership adds to Lyft’s growing place in the nonemergency medical transportation space. The ride-share company has partnered with health plans, transportation managers and health systems across the nation to address transportation barriers for patients.
