Hammond, La.-based North Oaks Health has promoted Julie Crockett, BSN, RN, to director of patient experience and community impact.
Ms. Crockett previously served as patient advocacy and experience manager for six years at North Oaks. The system includes a 330-bed acute care hospital, a level 2 trauma center, a 27-bed medical rehabilitation hospital, a freestanding surgical center, two diagnostic centers and a multispecialty provider clinic.
In her new role, Ms. Crockett will lead systemwide strategies spanning patient-centered care, patient advocacy, service excellence, health equity and community engagement, according to a June 8 news release.
She began her career at North Oaks in 2005 as a nurse technician while completing nursing school and later worked as a staff registered nurse before moving into administrative roles. A priority in her new role will be expanding “Feeding Our Own,” described as Louisiana’s first hospital-based food pantry, through a food is medicine program aimed at improving health outcomes by addressing food insecurity.
