The Department of Veterans Affairs recognized six VA hospitals for delivering exceptional, Veteran-centered care in 2025.
The Veterans Health Administration’s Patient Experience (PX) Awards honor top-performing health systems and medical centers for “building trust, improving access and consistently providing outstanding patient experiences,” according to a March 30 VA news release.
Here are the six hospitals and the award each won:
- Altoona (Pa.) VA Medical Center: Best PX Experience – Overall
- Lebanon (Pa.) VA Medical Center: Best PX Experience – Facility Complexity Level 1
- Texas Valley Coastal Bend Healthcare System (Harlingen): Best PX Experience – Facility Complexity Level 2
- Erie (Pa.) VA Medical Center: Best PX Experience – Facility Complexity Level 3
- Wilkes‑Barre (Pa.) VA Medical Center: Most Improved PX Experience – Inpatient
- Fresno (Calif.) VA Medical Center: Most Improved PX Experience – Outpatient
