Justin Molina, RN, led his online gaming community, family and friends in an effort to raise the money. Mr. Molina, along with a representative from the technology streaming startup Lightstream, then delivered the three GO Karts to the hospital.
The GO Karts can help children in the healing process. “Video games help a child cope with hospitalization and specific video games can provide a supportive outlet for expressing emotions as well as help with pain management,” said Sara Stewart, a Child Life Specialist at Lurie Children’s.
