St. Helena (Calif.) Hospital. In 2009, St. Helena Hospital developed the Coon Joint Replacement Institute, now home to three board-certified physicians. To date, the 151-bed hospital has recorded more than 20,000 knee and hip joint replacement surgeries and earned recognition as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Association Blue Distinction Center for knee and hip replacement surgery. CareChex ranked St. Helena No. 5 in California for major orthopedic surgery and joint replacement. A part of Adventist Health, St. Helena Hospital earned recognition for superior patient satisfaction scores and was featured on NBC Nightly News as part a “Path to Excellence” award winner.
