St. Charles Medical Center-Bend (Ore.). With roots dating back to 1918, St. Charles Medical Center-Bend opened in its current location in 1975. The hospital, part of St. Charles Health System, is designated a Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement and was recognized as one of America’s best hospitals for orthopedic surgery by Healthgrades for the past two years.
