Dr. Hugate focuses on the treatment of bone and soft tissue tumors, treatment of pelvic dysplasia with the GANZ Osteotomy, joint reconstruction following tumor removal, bone healing problems and difficult bone infections. Dr. Hugate’s clinic, based at Presbyterian-St. Lukes Medical Center, has treated more than 10,000 patients and focuses on treating osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer typically affecting children entering their teens. The clinic has a survival rate of around 90 percent for pediatric bone cancer, according to the report.
