Catalyst OrthoSciences receives $15M investment

Medtech company Catalyst OrthoScience has received $15 million in equity and debt financing. 

The additional funding allows Catalyst to strengthen its balance sheet and advance its commercial and clinical programs, according to an Oct. 22 news release from the company. 

The financing round was led by RC Capital, with participation from Mutual Capital Partners, Derace Schaffer, MD, and Western Alliance Bank.

In addition, Theodore Blaine, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at HSS, has been appointed to Catalyst’s board of directors, the release said.
