Three details:
1. The hospital opened a new patient tower and main entrance after two years of construction.
2. Moving patients to the new tower required detailed coordination between departments and clinicians. They began with relocating patients to the third level, which accommodates many orthopedic surgical patients.
3. The new patient rooms are private and spacious with natural light, according to Level 3 Director Karen Gromacki, BSN, RN. The design also gives patients easier access to the bathroom and enables more movement by both patients and providers.
