1. A bipartisan group of public and private partners launched the coalition April 4. Lead members include:
- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina
- North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services
- NC Department of Justice
- Atrium Health
2. The campaign will feature TV, radio, outdoor and digital advertisements urging community members to safely dispose of prescription medications and talk to their physicians about nonopioid alternatives for pain management.
3. Atrium Health will act as the campaign’s lead healthcare partner by offering resources and guidance for people seeking treatment for opioid use disorder.
