Steward hospital names chief nursing officer

St. Joseph Medical Center in Houston has named Michelle Ziakas, MSN, RN, chief nursing officer, the hospital said Jan. 17.

Ms. Ziakas most recently served as the hospital’s associate CNO, a role she stepped into in April 2021. She’s spent a large portion of her career in various leadership positions at St. Joseph Medical Center, including as director of critical care and director of surgical care

She also previously served as vice president and chief nursing officer of OakBend Medical Center in Richmond, Texas.

 St. Joseph Medical Center is owned by Dallas-based Steward Health Care.
