Fairfield, Conn.-based Sacred Heart University and Danbury, Conn.-based Nuvance Health created a shared nursing chair, they said in an email to Becker's Oct. 12.
The Nuvance Health Sacred Heart University Chair of Nursing Education, Research and Innovation is the first step in what both organizations hope will become future collaboration. Nuvance Health is conducting the search to fill the position, with representatives from both organizations on the search committee.
"I expect the candidate we bring into this new position will help Nuvance Health and Sacred Heart University position themselves as thought leaders for how the world of nursing will look in the years and decades to come," said Dereck DeLeon, chief academic officer for Nuvance Health.
