Arkansas Children's named Heather Cherry, DNP, RN, the John Boyd Family Endowed Chair in Pediatric Nursing.
As the recipient and steward of the chair, Dr. Cherry will use the endowment funds to "enhance the pursuit of pediatric nursing excellence," a Feb. 2 hospital news release said.
Dr. Cherry was recruited to the system in 2023 but has 20 years of experience working in children's hospitals, according to the news release. She is also vice president and chief nursing officer of Arkansas Children's Hospital.
