Reading Health System Plans $354M OR, ED Expansion

West Reading, Pa.-based Reading Health System is planning a $354 million medical building at Reading Hospital in West Reading, according to a Reading Eagle report.

The 476,000-square-foot building will feature 24 new surgical suites, including six large hybrid operating rooms and eight minor procedure rooms. It will also include 15 emergency treatment rooms and four trauma bays.

Construction will begin in September, according to the report.
