The 45,000-square-foot, $30.8 million expansion and renovation will expand Cox Medical Center’s emergency department to streamline care and care navigation.
A major aspect of the remodel will be to redesign the roads around the emergency department to make seeking care easier and more efficient, according to a news release.
The project will also expand the facility’s intensive care unit, focusing on evidence-based design to improve patient safety and wellbeing.
