Arise Healthcare to Open Physician-Owned Acute-Care Hospital

Austin, Texas-based Arise Healthcare announced that it will open Arise Austin Medical Center at the site of the former Austin Surgical Hospital.

Arise Healthcare purchased all the assets of Austin Surgical Hospital, and it now operates as Arise Austin Medical Center, an acute-care facility with a physician-owned structure. It will offer a wide-range of services, including general surgery, orthopedics, bariatric surgery, urological surgery and pain management.

Diana Zamora has been named CEO of the 23-bed, 55,192-square-foot hospital. Most recently, Ms. Zamora served as senior director of operations at Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare.
