Overall, 14 percent of respondents have visited an exchange website. Of those, 70 percent already have health insurance, mostly through an employer or through a government-sponsored program, and 58 percent reported visiting the exchanges to learn about them, rather than to seriously consider purchasing insurance.
When asked about the exchanges’ functionality, 29 percent said the exchanges are working well or fairly well, and 46 percent said they’re not working well, or not working at all. However, 56 percent of those who had visited an exchange website said the site was easy to use.
Responses were gathered from 1,504 adult Americans between Oct. 9 and Oct. 13.
