FAU received a three-year research grant from the National Institutes of Health to study the ability of its INTERACT quality improvement program, which includes Medline’s training program, to reduce hospitalization rates. Interact — Interventions to Reduce Acute Care Transfers — aims to “help nursing homes improve care and reduce the frequency of potentially avoidable and expensive transfers of their residents to the hospital,” according to the news release.
Medline has an exclusive partnership with FAU that gives nursing homes access to Medline’s online clinical resource, Medline University, in implementing the Interact program.
