Plaintiff Melanie Lemay, fired from UTMC a year ago, has brought forth accusations of wrongful termination, defamation, slander and libel against the hospital, according to the report.
The lawsuit claims the attention surrounding the incident, and the hospital’s release of information to the media, has damaged Ms. Lemay’s reputation and has hindered her ability to find another job, according to the report.
