Dr. Klopfer operated the clinics in South Bend, Ind., before he lost is license in 2015.  He performed thousands of abortions.

Officials have recovered the medical records and secured them, according to Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill.

Along with the abandoned medical records, officials also found more than 2,000 fetal remains in the Illinois garage of Dr. Klopfer. Authorities have begun identifying the remains and contacting patients, CNN reports.
