The suits, which were filed in Houston in 2007, were recently unsealed by a federal judge. The suits, which name AtriCure, Medtronic, St. Jude Medical and Boston Scientific Corp. as defendants, allege that the companies used kickback to illegally marketed the products to physicians, which resulted in unnecessary charges to Medicare.
The companies declined to comment on the suits.
