Officials said they received a call stating a private ambulance had been taken from Miami-based Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital just before 10 a.m. ET Monday, according to the report.
Police said David Bozeman, a patient at the hospital, discovered the unattended ambulance, stepped inside and drove off. He reportedly drove the ambulance for a few blocks before crashing into a University of Miami Hospital patient bus. Police arrested him after the incident.
The driver of the University of Miami Hospital bus was taken to the hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the report.
