The lawsuit named Robert Combs, who resigned from McKesson Medical-Surgical in August before joining Atlantic Medical Solutions. McKesson Medical-Surgical is the largest distributor of medical and surgical supplies in the U.S., according to the report.

McKesson Medical-Surgical filed suit against its former employee and Atlantic Medical Solutions, alleging that Mr. Combs called his former customers and used confidential pricing to compete with McKesson.

The medical supply distributor also accused Mr. Combs of emailing himself confidential information and trade secrets. McKesson said it has lost thousands of dollars from Mr. Combs’ former clients not renewing orders, and the company said it could lose hundreds of thousands of dollars more.

Mr. Combs declined the newspaper’s request for comment and Atlantic Medical Solutions did not return a call for comment.
