The man was waiting to be treated at the Chicago hospital when he became disruptive. Staff members kicked the man out of the hospital.
The man then stole an ambulance parked outside the hospital. He drove it about a block before crashing into a light pole and street sign.
The man was taken back to St. Bernard Hospital for treatment and is now in police custody.
