Former CEO of Wyoming’s Powell Valley Healthcare Arrested in Thailand

A nearly year-long search for Paul Cardwell, the former CEO of Powell (Wyo.) Valley Healthcare, came to an end last Friday when he was arrested in Thailand, according to a Powell Tribune report.

Mr. Cardwell was in Thai custody at the time of the Powell Tribune report’s publication. He faces criminal charges in Wyoming and Indiana.

Mr. Cardwell allegedly stole roughly $848,000 from PVH from March through September 2011. He also allegedly stole nearly $846,000 from White County Memorial Hospital in Monticello, Ind., from 2003 through 2009. He had served as CEO of both hospitals during the time of alleged theft.
