Cuts in Employer Coverage Reach Highest Rate in Two Years

Employers’ reductions in healthcare benefits reached their highest level in two years in the fourth quarter of 2010, according to a release from Glassdoor.

In a Glassdoor survey of employees, 28 percent reported reductions in healthcare benefits at their companies, compared with 22 percent in the third quarter of 2010 and 17 percent in the fourth quarter of 2009.

The survey of 2,118 employees was conducted online by Harris Interactive on Dec. 27-29, 2010. Glassdoor provides information on jobs and companies from current and former employees, interview candidates and companies themselves.
