The subpoenas, which were received in August, seek information about relationships between the hospital’s medical facility and a 600-member physicians network (Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation), according to the report.
The probe is indicative of renewed interest in physician/hospital relationships and the need for proactive Stark, antikickback and tax-exempt compliance efforts.
