ACO Panel to Discuss Competition Issues in Washington, D.C.

A panel of experts will discuss accountable care organizations and market power issues on Thursday in Washington, D.C., moderated by Joe Miller of America’s Health Insurance Plans, according to an AHIP news release.

The panel will discuss how competition issues should factor into analysis and rulemaking, the guidance already provided by antitrust agencies and the potential implications and limitations of that guidance.

Panelists include Mark J. Botti of Akin Gump, Cory Capps, MD, of Bates White Economic Consulting, Doug Hastings of Epstein Becker & Green and Billy Vigdor of Vinson & Elkins.
