Pocono Medical Center to build hospital facility in Tannersville, Pennsylvania

Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, Pa., has announced plans to build a campus hospital facility on a 40-acre site in Tannersville, Pa.

PMC hopes the new facility, Pocono Medical Center West, will grow and improve patient access to care.

The facility will feature an emergency department and will be able to accommodate roughly 80,000 emergency visits a year.

PMC will be moving forward with all of the necessary applications and regulatory approvals for the new center.
