McLaren Northern Michigan Cuts 43 Jobs

McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey is eliminating 43 positions and cutting the hours of 100 more employees, according to an Interlochen Public Radio report.

McLaren officials said the workforce reduction will put it “on par with industry standards,” according to the IPR report.

McLaren Northern Michigan is the third medical center within Flint, Mich.-based McLaren Health Care to cut jobs in recent months: McLaren Bay Region Hospital in Bay City, Mich., laid off or cut the hours of 95 employees in December, and McLaren Greater Lansing (Mich.) Hospital eliminated positions in October.
