Mayo Clinic Health System to Lay Off 82

Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic Health System plans to lay off 82 transcriptionists in its southeastern Minnesota region, according to an Albert Lea Tribune report.

The system is outsourcing that region’s transcription services to Amphion Medical Solutions, a Madison, Wis.-based transcription services business, effective March 31, 2014, according to the report.

Mayo Clinic Health System already uses Amphion Medical Solutions in other regions.
