Fifteen management positions and 13 union jobs will be affected by the cuts, according to the report.

CHRISTUS St. Vincent is restructuring to be successful under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and to better manage chronic conditions outside of the hospital.

The hospital posted a surplus of $6.3 million at the end of its 2012 fiscal year in June. That surplus is about half what other organizations this size expect, according to The New Mexican.
