Northwell commits $1M to 2 employee-driven healthcare innovation projects

New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health awarded $1 million to two employee-driven healthcare innovation projects after 84 projects were submitted for consideration.

The two projects, according to a May 8 Northwell news release:

  1. Artificial intelligence-powered cancer care: Daniel King, MD, PhD, and Sandeep Nadella, MD, developed an AI-enabled tool that helps cancer patients navigate care.
  2. StrokeFighter: Chunyan Li, PhD, and Timothy White, MD, developed a bioelectronic medicine tool designed to alleviate the effects of stroke.
