Healthcare accelerator program backs 8 health tech startups

 

Healthcare accelerator Xleratehealth July 12 announced the eight startup companies taking part in its Flint 2022 cohort in Michigan.

Xleratehealth seeks to grow healthcare innovation across the Midwest. The Flint 2022 cohort program began July 12 and will conclude Sept. 29 with a virtual demo day allowing the startups to pitch ideas to investors and the Flint healthcare community. 

The eight startups selected:

 

  1. Coordinista: A Kalamazoo, Mich.-based digital health startup that makes apps to optimize healthcare delivery to patients and providers in the field.
  2. Culturewell: An Ann Arbor, Mich.-based startup seeking to lower healthcare-associated infections
  3. Flint Community Revitalization Group: A Flint, Mich.-based startup consulting group specializing in creating new business opportunities within minority communities
  4. Great Lakes Biologics: A Plymouth, Mich.-based startup that works in process development of small-scale batches of biologic product candidates used in research
  5. Hodos Health: A Detroit-based startup that automates chronic disease management
  6. Interjad: A Southfield, Mich.-based startup that is creating a clinical research training platform
  7. Prevada Medical: An Ann Arbor, Mich.-based startup creating a disposable mouthpiece designed to reduce the risk of lung infections in healthcare centers
  8. Urban Docz: A Detroit-based telehealth startup that seeks to provide affordable reproductive healthcare to women in low-income communities
